D’you know the feeling when your cat or dog lies on your belly? Or the feeling of a baby nestled on your chest? The weight and warmth of these precious beings makes everything right.
But what about the weight of our worries?
With so much to be thankful for, it’s amazing how our minds can trick us into feeling otherwise.
Something that’s really helped me cultivate gratitude over the past few weeks has been listening to friend of mine’s Hybrid Meditation.
From one soul friend to another, Krystal Chong, of Krystal Chong Live Full.Live Free, shares how we are “biochemically incentivized to think anxious thoughts” but that we can overcome them by practicing thoughts of gratitude.
Krystal Chong explains that anxious thoughts produce addictive, feel-good responses and the only other part of the brain that produces more feel-good-responses is the part that’s activated through thoughts of gratitude.
Recorded in her melodious and charming voice, Krystal offers a FREE and a $4 Hybrid Meditation Series (totally worth it, you can thank me later) which have totally reframed my mindset. The $4 series comes with a convenient App from Gumroad which makes it easy to listen to.
What are you thankful for?
Write it down, share it or shout it out loud. You’ll be amazed at how contagious gratitude can be.
