People often say to me “you’re not a doctor, how do you know that?” Or “you’re not a nutritionist how can you say that?” Or “how do you know that about your body.”
And they’re right! I’m not a doctor or nutritionist or a psychiatrist. But I do have a deep interest in learning how to take care of myself.
I think it’s human nature to find ways to make things easy for ourselves – we find something that works and then we keep doing it until it stops working, or in my case until I get run down and learn the value of these powerful words:
“Say no to the things you don’t like so that you can say yes to the things you do”
I first heard this quote from Jenn Pike, a holistic nutritionist and lifestyle coach in my community, who said it a few times during her 6 Week Online Program last year. I’m obviously bias because I took the course twice, but coming back to this idea of making this easy for ourselves, Jenn is THE person to help you bring more simplicity and ease into all that you do.
It might seem like a big step, and the responsibility of uncovering things that you’ve shoved aside for years might seem overwhelming, but taking responsibility for your health isn’t as heavy a feeling as you think – with the right support it can be just the opposite.
Responsibility is about understanding that YOU get to choose how to act and react to the world around you.
So take back your power – you’re worth it!

[Jenn doesn’t know that I’ve posted this, nor has she asked for the endorsement. It really is the least I can do to repay her for all that she taught me and continues to teach me.]
